As of 01.03.2025, Ron Tenne became a faculty member in the Technion Israel Institute of Technology in Israel. In the Technion, Ron will form the new experimental quantum optics group, Fast-to-Ultrafast Nano Spectroscopy (funSpec) that will explore nano-sized quantum emitters on a multitude of time scales from picoseconds to minutes. Our hope is that learning more about colloidal nano emitters and their light matter interaction we will forge a new path towards quantum enhanced sensors that explore the world with unprecedented temporal and spatial resolutions.
The new group is part of the Solid-State Insitute in the Technion, the Helen Diller Quantum Center and the Russell-Berrie Nanotechnology Institute.
